NEW: Six more firearms surrendered on Monday

Six more unregistered firearms were voluntarily surrendered to the police on Monday, bringing the total number of firearms surrendered under the current amnesty to 509.

“Six firearms were voluntarily surrendered to the police countrywide on the operation ‘Firearms amnesty’, bringing the cumulative figures to 509 firearms and 260 rounds of ammunition,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.
