Construction of Somgolo Bridge in Ward 28 Lupane, Matabeleland North province, is now complete, and the project will be commissioned tomorrow.
Matabeleland North Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Richard Moyo is expected to commission the project.
The Second Republic is significantly accelerating transformative infrastructural development projects in Matabeleland North Province, particularly in previously underserved rural areas.
This focus has led to transformative growth in Lupane, evidenced by the implementation of new infrastructural projects alongside the revival of previously stalled ones due to funding constraints.
Furthermore, the Second Republic is financing critical capital projects such as Lake Gwayi-Shangani, a vital component of the long-envisioned development plan since 1912, with work currently underway.
Additionally, Government has completed the reconstruction of the Pupu Battlefield National Monument and clinic, which were both commissioned by President Mnangagwa last year.
Local Government and Public Works Minister Daniel Garwe, who was represented by his Deputy Minister Albert Mavhunga, commissioned two classroom blocks and a teachers’ cottage at Gobakhulu Primary School recently.
