RADIO personality Yvonne Tivatye will present an award at this year’s SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards to be held in Durban, South Africa, this weekend.

The talented presenter, who hosts Star FM’s Gospel Greats show, will join a host of other celebrity presenters at the continent’s biggest gospel award ceremony.

In an interview with The Sunday Mail Online, Tivatye was grateful to have been chosen to be part of the 15th edition of the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards.

“I was deeply humbled to know that there are people out there who notice the impact ‘The Gospel Greats’ has on the continent, and this is nothing short of encouraging,” said Tivatye.

The radio personality looks forward to representing her country and radio station at the prestigious event.

“It definitely means so much to me, because I will be able to show I am fully capable of representing my country and station at that prestigious occasion.

“I am looking forward to more doors this opportunity will open for me,” she added.

This is not the first time the talented presenter has been invited to participate at premier events.

She recently covered the FNB WowFest in Zambia, where she broadcast Travis Greene’s performance live from Lusaka.

Meanwhile, Yvonne will be rooting for fellow countrymen, Mike Mahendere and Tatenda Mahachi, who have been nominated in the “Best of Africa” category.

“All the very best to the two. Bring it home guys, we are super proud of you,” she said.
