START-UPS must embrace innovative business models to overcome challenges associated with volatile market conditions, a local entrepreneur has said.
Mr Aaron Chikukuza, founder and chief executive officer of Biznvest, a local company that manufactures the Ngoda Oven, urged emerging businesses to come up with strategies to cushion their businesses from volatility.
“I strongly urge businesses, especially start-ups, to be innovative and to come up with business strategies that enhance the growth of their businesses.
“The introduction of new and improved products is one sure way of enhancing survival,” he said.
Mr Chikukuza, who has won a number of awards for innovation, was speaking during the official launch of Biznvest’s new products in Harare recently.
Ngoda Ovens are used to bake standard loaves of bread and other confectionary products using cheaper and readily available energy such as wood, cow dung and charcoal.
