New students will party for good cause

“The department in charge of organising the bash is working flat out to make this year’s celebrations bigger and greater than last year’s as they intend to utilise profits attained from the bash towards helping the less privileged,” he said.
One of the organisers of the gig from the Tourism and Hospitality Department, Confidence Ncube, said of the bash: “On behalf of the marketing team, I can really say we have walked an extra mile in trying to get stakeholders involved and we intend to invite Holiday Inn’s former assistant manager Lenon Chibanda,” he said.
The annual event has over the years been held to mark the welcoming of National Certificate students by the Higher National Diploma students from the institution.
This year’s celebrations are set to be graced by local DJ, Dj Prince.
“What makes this year’s celebrations special is the fact that there will be a cocktail party and every guest, including students, will be thrilled by DJ Prince who usually plays at Horizon and Metropolis,” said Enock Tuwe who is part of the marketing team.
Ncube said the gig will have a broad menu courtesy of the Tourism and Hospitality Department.
Ncube said while last year’s celebrations were mainly focused on welcoming new students, this year they were raising funds to be directed to orphanages.
