CAPS United will name a new technical team this coming Thursday, with former midfielder Ian Bakala set to be part of the set-up.

This follows the reassignment of coach Lloyd Chitembwe, who has been moved to the role of technical director after the dissolution of the entire backroom staff he had been working with.

Results have not been forthcoming for a Green Machine side that boasts one of the best squads in the league, at least on paper.

Club president Farai Jere announced the changes this morning, stating that a new head coach and other members of the technical staff will be unveiled on Thursday, just two days before Makepekepe’s Match Day 11 clash against Herentals at Rufaro.

Bakala, a CAPS United midfielder in 2004, will serve as the first assistant in the new set-up.

In the meantime, Chitembwe will prepare the team for the Herentals fixture.
