A CHIPINGE teenager (18) who could not fathom divorcing her husband was found hanging, with her body at an advanced stage of decomposition.
Decide Mamoyo’s body was found hanging from a tree branch by a passer-by who was herding cattle.
Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the incident that happened in Maparadze Village in Chief Garahwa’s area.
Police said Mamoyo separated with her husband in May 2022 and she left their matrimonial home heading to an unknown destination.
She was last week found hanging from a tree branch by a cattle herder who alerted the police.
Police attended the scene and conveyed her remains to St Peter’s Mission Hospital in Chisumbanje for a post mortem.
Investigations are in progress.
