PRACTICAL Action Zimbabwe was recently honoured with the esteemed ‘Best NGO Building Climate Resilience’ in Zimbabwe award at the Africa Green Night Awards.
Practical Action Zimbabwe’s outstanding achievements in fostering climate resilience were acknowledged by the event organisers and esteemed panel of adjudicators.
The organisation’s relentless dedication to innovative solutions and impactful initiatives has significantly contributed to building a more resilient Zimbabwe.
This accolade serves as a testament to Practical Action’s commitment to creating a better world for all.
“We extend our utmost gratitude to the organizers of the Africa Green Night Awards and the distinguished adjudicators for recognizing Practical Action’s remarkable innovations in building climate resilience,” expressed Mr Emmanuel Madhara, Country Director of Practical Action Zimbabwe.

Practical Action triumphed over a formidable pool of international and local NGOs in the category that recognizes exemplary efforts in supporting climate initiatives, building climate resilience, promoting renewable energy, and advocating for climate justice.
Practical Action’s noteworthy achievements stem from its steadfast implementation of transformative projects aimed at enabling individuals to harness the benefits of clean and affordable energy.
Moreover, the organisation has been instrumental in promoting environmentally friendly agricultural practices that not only contribute to the preservation of our planet but also elevate the productivity and incomes of smallholder farmers.
The scale of impact achieved through these initiatives is truly remarkable, with over 35 000 smallholder farmers and rural communities actively participating in diverse projects that were considered for this esteemed accolade.
