Manyeni Chivhu Arts group is shooting a series called “Zvinoitwa Sei?” The movie, which is a community project, is aimed at marketing the Manyeni area of Chivhu.“I conceived this idea when UK-based Brightness Muzembe created a Facebook page which he named after our remote area ‘Manyeni’ in Chivhu.

“This page had almost 2 000 subscribers the majority being the people from Manyeni. The page connected people from that community with developments that were taking place in the area.

“This series is about teaching the Zimbabwean community to respect family ties,” Leonard Chibamu, the founder of the group, said.
The movie is about disintegrating family ties and So far, 15 episodes have been shot out of a total of 20 episodes and the launch date is slated for April.

It will be screened on ZBC-TV and efforts will be made to distribute it internationally.

“In the series you will find families linked to extended families and friends, schools, churches, and local organisations that promote the well-being of individuals and communities.

“While connections with extended family and friends are always important, their support is often critical in times of great need,” he said.
