NEW: Two more arrested over Murewa violence

TWO more suspects have been arrested in connection with an alleged incidence of political violence in Murewa North that was captured on video and went viral on social media.

Police announced that two suspects –  Paul Kachigu (34) and Dignity Nadzo (31) – had been arrested on Thursday.

It brings the number of suspects that are in police custody to three following the arrest of 67-year-old Never Chimutashu on January 10.

“The ZRP confirms the arrest of two other suspects, Paul Kachigu (34) and Dignity Nadzo (31), in connection with the case of alleged political violence which occurred in Murewa North on November 6, 2023,” said police in a statement on Thursday.
