NEW: Vendors outed for selling used recharge cards

MOBILE telecommunications service provider, Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, has warned the public against purchasing used recharge cards.

In a notice, Econet said some fraudulent vendors were selling used recharge cards to the public.

“Beware, there are vendors who are selling used recharge cards,” said the company. “We encourage customers to recharge in the presence of vendors.”

Econet said customers should also check for watermarks on the recharge cards.
