THE Victoria Falls Stock Exchange Limited (VFEX) has launched VFEX Direct, an online trading platform designed to make buying and selling of securities listed on the United States-denominated bourse easier.

In a statement, VFEX chief executive officer, Mr Justin Bgoni, said the platform is specifically designed for retail investors.

“The Victoria Falls Stock Exchange Limited is pleased to announce the launch of VFEX Direct, an online trading platform specifically designed for retail investors,” he said.

“VFEX Direct provides investors with an easy and convenient way to buy and sell securities listed on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange.”

Mr Bgoni said VFEX Direct is inclusive and will enable the general public to invest and trade on the platform.

“Since the launch of VFEX in 2020, trading has mainly been dominated by institutional investors, and from the feedback received, retail investors would also like to participate on the VFEX,” he said.

“In response to the needs of our valuable clients, we are pleased to announce the introduction of VFEX Direct which was mainly developed with retail investors in mind.”

Investors wishing to participate through VFEX Direct, are required to hold an FCA (Nostro) account with any local bank.
