THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reviewed fuel prices, with the cost of both diesel and petrol marginally going up in local currency and US$.
This is the fourth time ZERA has reviewed fuel prices this month.
The cost of fuel had remained largely stable for the greater part of December, with the price of petrol steadily dropping over the first three weeks of the month.
A litre of petrol now costs US$1,50 up from US$1,48 and $1 016,49 up from $1 001,12. Diesel is pegged at US$1,65 up from US$1,62 and $1 118,82 up from $1 094,04.
In a notice to the public today, ZERA said: “Please, be advised of the review in fuel prices for diesel and blend with effect from December 29. The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio for unleaded petrol is at five percent.
“Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations.”
