Zimbabwe applauds efforts being made to operationalise the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as its capacitation to address future epidemics on the continent, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Ambassador Frederick Shava has said.
“Zimbabwe welcomes efforts being undertaken to operationalise the CDC as indicated in the report for the sub-committee on structural reforms,” said Ambassador Shava while speaking at the 42nd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Wednesday.
“We advocate for the strengthening of the CDC to enable it to deal with future epidemics on the continent.”
