ZIMBABWEAN academic and entrepreneur Professor Kudakwashe Taruberekera, who is also the founder and CEO of Craft Properties Holdings, will among officials that will be in Kigali, Rwanda, for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development and Climate Action, which will run from May 14 to 15.
The conference, themed “Accelerating Progress towards the SDGs: Leveraging Partnerships and Innovation”, will include Heads of State and Government from 193 countries, government officials, private sector leaders, registered United Nations participants, service providers, suppliers and civil society representatives.
Discussions will be on climate resilience, renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure development.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guteres is expected to deliver a keynote address.
There will also be panel discussions on climate action and sustainable development, workshops on innovation and partnership-building, as well as other related projects country presentations on best practices and challenges.
Prof Taruberekera also recently participated at a United Nations conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
