ZIMBABWEANS living in the United States of America have pledged to work with the Government back home and take up vast opportunities presented by the Second Republic.
Speaking during a diaspora engagement forum that was held on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, US, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Professor Amon Murwira reaffirmed Government’s commitment to
protecting its citizens at home and abroad.
The diaspora community and most of the students who attended the engagement forum expressed commitment to ploughing back to the community through research and technology.
The December 12 Movement and ZANU PF representatives emphasised the need to safeguard the legacy of the liberation struggle and called on the unconditional removal of illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe.
The diaspora engagement presents a golden opportunity for people living in the diaspora to engage with Government at the highest level.
