ZIMBABWE Prisons and Correctional Services is set to re-introduce the Family Week program at its various prisons, with the first edition scheduled to run between April 18 and 22, 2022.

The week, which was initially launched some years ago before being suspended due to Covid-19, is expected to afford inmates time to interact with their friends and relatives.

In a statement, ZPCS said the program will only be open to the fully vaccinated public.

“ZPCS is proud to reintroduce Family Week, affording inmates’ relatives and friends more time to interact…take this opportunity to visit those behind bars,” reads part of the statement.
