THE death toll in the Rusape accident involving a kombi and a haulage truck has risen to six after three more people succumbed to injuries sustained in the fatal crash.
Three people died on the spot while three others died on admission at Rusape General Hospital.
Police were still withholding names of the deceased pending notification of their next of kin.
The horrific accident, which occurred yesterday evening, involved an overtaking kombi that had about 12 passengers on board and a Mutare-bound haulage truck.
The kombi was trying to overtake another vehicle near Rusape tollgate, resulting in the accident.
The injured were ferried to Rusape General Hospital.
