Ngezi Platinum double delight

Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title contenders, Ngezi Platinum scored a double yesterday after clinching the coach and player of the month awards. 

Coach Takesure Chiragwi was voted the best for August after leading Ngezi Platinum to a successful month in which they cut Highlanders’ lead to two points. 

Captain Qadr Amini was voted Player of the Month for his contributions to the maximum nine points claimed in August.

Ngezi had trailed by seven points before reducing the deficit in August.   

They started the month with a 1-0 win over Bulawayo Chiefs, followed by a similar win over Caps United and a 3-0 success over Triangle.

Over the same period Highlanders beat Black Rhinos, drew 0-0 with ZPC Kariba and lost 2-0 at FC Platinum.
