A MONTH after firing Nyasha Kadenge, Ngezi Platinum Stars have announced the appointment of Yvonne Mapika Manwa as the club’s new chief executive officer.

Kadenge was relieved of her duties following a disciplinary hearing whose findings were kept under wraps.

Her departure also followed hard on the heels of veteran coach Rodwell Dhlakama’s resignation.

He has, however, since been replaced by former Zimbabwe captain Benjani Mwaruwari.

In a brief statement on Wednesday, Ngezi Platinum Stars said Manwa had been tasked with spearheading the club’s restructuring exercise.

“Ngezi Platinum Stars Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Yvonne Mapika Manwa as the club’s new chief executive officer.

“The board and club executive are excited to welcome Yvonne on board and wish her well as she embarks on her new role at the club,” the club said.

“She will be key in heading the club’s secretariat, upholding the team culture and ensuring a holistic and sustainable development of the club as we seek to establish ourselves as a significant club locally and on the continent.”

Manwa has served in various capacities, which include general manager, finance administration manager and operations manager in various manufacturing and services industries.
