COACH Wonder Ngoko (pictured) has dumped ZIFA Northern Region Division One League team, Come Again FC, for newly promoted Moors World of Sports (MWOS).
Ngoko had guided Come Again FC in their debut season in Division One.
But he has decided to retrace his roots back to Norton where he was last week unveiled by MWOS, who are making their Division One debut this year.
Come Again survived relegation by a whisker last season, finishing just two points above the chop.
Although it is reported that Come Again learnt about Ngoko’ s departure through the media, they have accepted their loss and wished him well in his new assignment.
Come Again vice-chairperson, Dick Dumbu, said:
“We have not received his resignation letter. I will check with the club secretary for more details when we regroup this week to select players for the 2023 season. We will not stand in his way, so we wish him good luck for 2023. The executive will look for another head coach.”
Ngoko confirmed that he had indeed left Come Again.
“To Come Again FC players, its executive and all Kadoma fans, this personally was a difficult decision since I managed to get the team promoted to Division One from Division Two.
“To my new team, MWOS FC, I am very happy to be given this opportunity to again show my skills at home, since home is best.
“Thank you MWOS director, Patrick Tamson, and the executive committee for giving me the opportunity to make my debut coaching stint in my hometown.
“To Norton, your son is back home for your best football entertainment,” said Ngoko.
