URBAN Grooves singer Ngoni Kambarami has a soft spot for vulnerable children.

The artist has been donating to different orphanages in and outside Harare.

Recently, Ngoni’s team visited Jairos Jiri in Rusape where it handed over a consignment of groceries to over 70 children.

“My passion does extend to help children in need as well as to people in general need.

“Our donation in Rusape came from a place of pure love, knowing how life is tough for everyone.

“It was more than apparent that it is more difficult for the vulnerable children at Jairos Jiri and these are some of the things we have been carrying out since 2021.

“We did our first donation in Mabvuku, particularly in my neighbourhood, where I grew up, because of the people who support Ngonie Werudo Kambarami.

“It has been very good and what is most important for us to find some ways to give back to the community.

“We were very happy with the reception we received on Saturday. The children really enjoyed the visit they received from us.”

Ngoni said he is currently working on an EP.

“I have music that I released this year, as well, particularly a song called Emma in February, produced by Emcee King.

“There was another one before that called Handiuye Kumba, which was produced by Professor Lalo and released in December before Christmas.

“Just this past week, I also released a new song called Pa Insta off a riddim produced by my all-time producer, T Man Mount Zion.

“The riddim is called Zim flirt and carries songs from other artists like Nox Guni, Poptain, Lipsy, Jah Master and so many other guys.”

His publicist, Amos Kateta said they donated to over 70 children.

“We visited the children on May 27 in Rusape and donated an assortment of items.

“There were 72 of them with various forms of disabilities ranging from hearing, visual and physical impairments.

“We went there as his musical group fans, affectionately known as ‘Werudo Family ‘ taken from his own affectionately known name as Ngonie Werudo Kambarami.”
