FORMER Highlanders secretary and chief executive officer Nhlanhla Dube says linking him to the vacant Bosso chief executive officer job is a waste of time as he is not interested and will not be applying for the position.
Since news started floating around on social media that Ronald Moyo would not renew his contract as the head of the secretariat at the Bulawayo giants, Dube’s name began being linked to the vacant post.
After days of keeping the Bosso family guessing if at all Moyo had made his intentions to resign clear, Bosso last Thursday released a statement saying the former club’s spokesman had opted not to renew his contract.
“The Highlanders Football Club’s executive committee takes this opportunity to convey to its members, supporters and stakeholders that the club chief executive officer (CEO) Mr Ronald Moyo has elected not to renew his contract at its expiration due on the 31st of March 2024,” announced the club.
Now that the club finally let the cat out of the bag, Dube said it was time to set the record straight with regards to his perceived interest in the vacant job.
“My life doesn’t revolve around the position of chief executive officer of Highlanders. I have no interest, whatsoever, in applying for the vacancy so to those insinuating that Nhlanhla wants the job, let me make it clear here and now I’m happy with what I’m doing.
I had my time at Highlanders and in life, there is a time for new opportunities and challenges for one to fully explore,” Dube told B-Metro Sport.
