The show, which has been dubbed as the end-of-year gig, will see the Senior Lecturer coming back to the gold-mining town after a year.
The promoter of the show, Jorum Moyo, said their festive season package would continue this Friday with the return of Zakaria who last performed in Esigodini during the festive season last year.
“Fans have been making some requests for Zakaria. That is the reason why we have decided to bring him this Friday at Jabula Inn.
“We are doing this because we have got music lovers at heart who have been supporting us for a long time,” he said.
Moyo said Zakaria is more than ready for the show and he has assured fans that he is going to give them value for their money.
“I have been talking to Zakaria and he is raring to go and fans should expect nothing but the best out of the Senior Lecturer,” he said.
Moyo said the programme was going according to plan as everything was already in place for the show.
“We have all the equipment in place for the show and the tent is in place as we are now in the rainy season,” he said.
Moyo said Zakaria is coming to prove to the revellers that he is the true Senior Lecturer who moulded musicians that include Alick Macheso and his young brother Zakaria Zakaria.
“We have had Macheso performing here at Jabula Inn and it will be incomplete if you do not bring the man behind Macheso and that’s Madzibaba Zakaria,” he said.
Moyo said Madzibaba had promised to play most of his old school songs from the albums that include Mabvi Nemagokora and Munongedzo.
“Fans should expect nothing but the best from the Senior Lecturer as he will be performing alongside the Stock Birds.
“This is a must-not-miss show for all the music fans as they will be out to get their early Christmas present from the Senior Lecturer,” he said.
