Nick Price out of President’s Cup

ZIMBABWEAN golf legend, Nick Price, will not be captaining the International team at the President’s Cup this year after South African Ernie Els took over that role.

Price has been leading the team, which features players from around the world except those from Europe and the United States, in their showdown against the Americans.

Els has since named South Africa’s Trevor Immelman, Korea’s K.J. Choi and Canada’s Mike Weir as his final three assistants for the 2019 President’s Cup.

The battle will return to The Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia, for a third time from December 9-15.

Price said it was difficult to build unity in a team of players drawn from different tours and who speak different languages when they only had a few days to prepare for the tourney.
