A Plumtree man reportedly raped his 14-year-old niece thrice in one day as punishment for offering him “water with germs,” a court heard. Manager Ncube, 23, allegedly found his niece fetching water from a well and asked for some to drink.
He allegedly spat out the water and said it was dirty, before sexually abusing the girl.

He appeared before regional magistrate Mark Dzira and pleaded not guilty to rape charges.

The state case led by Tinashe Dzipe is that on April 12 this year at around 2PM the girl was fetching water from a well when her uncle approached. He asked for some water to drink.

She gave him but Ncube accused her of giving him water with germs and immediately slapped her on the right cheek.

Ncube then dragged her to his homestead which is near the well. While in the bedroom, Ncube removed his niece’s skirt, jersey and pants and also undressed himself.

He forced the girl to lie on the bed and had unprotected sexual intercourse without her consent thrice.

After he was done with raping his niece, Ncube released her and she went to her homestead. The girl later reported the matter to her grandfather on the next day leading to Ncube’s arrest.
