Nine women in court for advertising sexual services

NINE women accused of advertising illegal massage and sexual services on social media platforms have been further remanded in custody until Thursday for bail consideration.

The accused identified as Natasha Makowe, Anne Mandaza, Ashley Nyamutsaka, Nyasha Mungate, Gamuchirai Dzvukutu, Ellen Chihota, Miola Manyange, Euno Chiwara and Mukhtah Banda, are facing charges under the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act.

State prosecutor Mr Takudzwa Jambawu requested a postponement to allow time for the verification of the accused’s residential addresses.

The women, aged between 18 and 27, are now being represented by a team of lawyers.

The accused made an initial appearance in court on Saturday.
