BULAWAYO Chiefs head coach, Nilton Terroso, has said all his players are important.
Terroso dropped a number of first team regulars, such as striker Perfect Chikwende and the Moyo twins Kevin and Elvis, for the Tenax game at Vengere.
The Ninjas won 2-0.
Obriel Chirinda scored the opening goal after turning his marker inside out, just outside the box, before unleashing an unstoppable shot.
Arthur Musiyiwa grabbed the second for the Ninjas with a curling effort in the 75th minute.
Terrosso said no player was more important than the other in his team and everyone, who is given an opportunity to play, is expected to perform.
“Everyone has a responsibility to carry the team forward and I am happy our players have done that so far, and we are proud of that,” he said.
“We are happy with the win, it was a very difficult game for us.
“Tenax have a good team and a good coach.
“The way they are structured has a clear way of playing, which always ensures supplies upfront.
“This made us suffer in the reverse fixture, so we played differently today.”
He added:
“Credit goes to my players who stuck to our strategy from the first minute.
“We deserved to win because we created numerous chances and could have won by a wider margin. “This has been our story all season.
“The positive thing is that we managed to convert two of them to win the game.
“So, that difficulty of overcoming the obstacle of creating unconverted chances, was eliminated.”
Chiefs are now 10th on the league table with 30 points from 22 matches.
