The firm, which is called Prompt Recoveries Credit Management, opened on 1 August and will be officially launched on 19 October.
Prompt Recoveries Credit Management senior manager Miss Petronella Ncube said her organisation was a state-of-the-art credit bureau providing comprehensive, relevant credit information and management services to all financial institutions.
“We realised that there is information gap between lenders and borrowers and we are here to cover that gap by collecting and providing credit information to our subscribers,” she said in an interview.
The credit management company’s thrust among others include collection, collation and trading personal and financial credit information as well as providing supreme debt collection services and debt management and credit clearing.
“Mostly people borrow here and there to cover this and that, therefore we are trying to get rid of that and make sure that both the lender and the borrower are satisfied,” she said.
The credit bureau facilitates the distribution of credit information to all sectors of the economy resulting in a positive contribution on the lending sector while assisting consumers to achieve their anticipated goals.
Miss Ncube said, “Our subscribers are going to have a password and username and once they do that they will be able to find any person along credit lines.”
She said plans were afoot by her organisation to approach organisations such as the Credit
Management of Zimbabwe, Bankers Association of Zimbabwe, and the Zimbabwe Association of Microfinance Institutions to sign a Memorandum of Understanding because these were the custodian associations of the credit bureau in the country.
Prompt Recoveries Credit Management targets micro finance institutions, commercial banks, financial institutions and other credit institutions.
