RENOWNED wheel spinner DJ Nizhe De Soul is set to give music fans in Harare another taste of his talents on the decks when he performs at the Jacaranda Music Festival, which kicks off on 2 October.

Having carved out a successful career in South Africa, Nizhe De Soul is now turning up the heat in his homeland, where he continues to headline top-notch events.

Scheduled to take to the decks on the final day of the festival on Sunday, Nizhe De Soul will share the stage with Victoria Falls-based songstress JustLeo and Bulawayo-based songstress Mandie Mae.

Also part of the line-up are Zee Nxumalo, Cairo, Fusion 5 Mangwiro, Minister Michael Mahendere, DJ Young Vibes, Thando Lewandoski, MJ The DJ, Enhle, JustLeo and Mookomba.

Nizhe De Soul said being part of the festival marked a significant step in his career, particularly as his brainchild, the NDS Academy, continues to bear fruit.

“It’s a massive honour. Jacaranda has grown into a platform that brings together different cities, different cultures and different sounds under one roof. For me, it’s not just about being on a big stage, it’s about representing Bulawayo, representing my sound and showing what we have to offer on a national platform. There’s a certain responsibility that comes with that, and I embrace it.

“What makes this Jacaranda Music Festival edition even more precious to me is that we’re also seeing NDS Academy talent represented on the lineup, Mj The DJ & Thando Lewandowskii. That’s a big win for the culture and we thank the organisers and team for giving us that platform,” he said.

As usual, Nizhe De Soul said his set would be centred on good music and energy while taking festival-goers on a musical journey.

“I’m not coming to simply play songs, I’m coming to create a moment. So if you’re at Jacaranda, come ready to dance, sing, connect and experience Bulawayo energy in its purest form,” he said.
