Nkosazana Daughter, Chimbetu, Macheso, Freeman entertainment galore this weekend

A star-studded line-up is scheduled to headline the first edition of the Mutare Lockdown music festival set to be held tonight (Friday). For the first ever, South African artiste, Nkosazana Nolwazi Kimberly Nzama, fondly known as Nkosazana Daughter, will be performing live in Mutare. She is expected to belt out popular songs such as Makhelwane, Sondela Dali, Dubula Dubula, Dali Wami and Esangweni among others.
Local heavyweights, Alick Macheso and Freeman also headline the event that starts at 8pm till 5am. Macheso and his Orchestra Mberikwazvo will be expected to mesmerise fans with hits plucked from his rich discography such as Madhuwe, Shedia and Madhawu, while Zim-dancehall sensation, Freeman, will dish out hits for his fans. Assegai Crew, Stixxie, Apama Stylez, DJs Marvel, Cape Lorel and Lampy will also provide entertainment.
Casa De Liquor
The joint will on Sunday host a cross-cultural Jazz project called Frank Salis Experience. The event will see artistes drawn from various cities and countries performing. Afro-jazz crooner, WaCharie will also deliver his performance on the night. The event starts at 6pm till late.
Chitsa Bar and Liquids
The joint curtains up the new month with Flawless Friday, which will be superintended by DJ Stixxie and Popinjo. The two will carry on tomorrow, headlining the Party Time Saturday. The two events start at 8pm till the last man drops.
Old School music caster, DJ Tawaz will take over, and he will headline the Sosho Sunday, a day dedicated exclusively to Old School music. The session starts at 2pm.
Club Mandisa Bar and Lounge
The joint celebrates the new month with Wicked Weekend bash. DJs Smoxx, Silbasil, Nasty and Cante will headline the bash. The quartet will provide entertainment in the main auditorium.
Vixens and pole dancers will entertain patrons in the VIP section from tonight till next Thursday.
Pahukama
A group of new school soundmen will provide entertainment to patrons who include pool lovers at the joint situated at Acid Shopping Centre. They will belt out new school music tonight and tomorrow before headlining the old school music session on Sunday.
Galaxy Sports Bar
The joint situated in Dangamvura, will host pool players as well as imbibers as DJ Nash will entertain them with music. They will provide entertainment tomorrow and Sunday.
Legacy Bar
The joint located in Dangamvura’s Area 16, hosts Fiesta Fridays and Supreme Saturdays, superintended by resident DJ Wizzy. On Saturday night, he will take turns on the turntables with a guest DJ. Pleasure seekers, particularly the mature, will enjoy old school music on Soul Sunday.
