NO AIRPLAY FOR DANCEHALL ARTIST FOR NINE YEARS

Mangaliso Kabulika

ZIM dancehall chanter, Tinox, has revealed that his music has never been played on radio since he started his musical career in 2015.

He said he has released a number of songs but none of them has ever been played on any of the local radio stations.

Tinox feels there are some unfair practices in the industry and this could be the reason why none of his songs have been played on radio.

He pleaded with artists, who have made it to the top, to help in uplifting others.

“I got into music after losing my parents, it was a way of finding comfort in it but it has since been a place of pain as my career has been stagnant.

“I wish to record in those prominent studios, perhaps I will get some airplay as they might be influential in pushing my music.

“I have songs that I wrote for this year but I am hesitant to record them as the industry is not an easy path to walk in.

“Despite all this, I will not stop singing as it is what I love and it is my hope that my music will be appreciated in all parts of the country and beyond our borders,” said Tinox.
