STARLINK’s residential service has been sold out in Bulawayo barely a week after the internet service provider reported that the city centre and surrounding areas had reached full capacity.
Harare, some weeks ago, reached capacity for the SpaceX product, and Bulawayo is following behind, as it offers what users deem an affordable and fast internet connection.
If Starlink tells you they’re at capacity in your area, it means their network cannot accommodate any additional devices at that moment. This means that one can place an order, but they have to wait in a queue while capacity for the low-orbit satellites is increased.
According to the Starlink map on its website, Bulawayo has been marked as sold out. Starlink being “sold out” means that their internet service capacity has been fully utilised in certain areas, particularly in densely populated cities.
This is due to the high demand for their service, which offers fast and reliable internet connectivity. This surge in demand has resulted in slow connectivity speeds, with some users reporting speeds as low as 1mbps.
No timeline has been provided for when this increased capacity will be available.
