The Government has assured Mbare traders who were affected by a major fire that destroyed stalls and goods on sale at the
Mbare Traders Market that no one will be replaced as all gaps for invasion are being closed.
Addressing the traders at Mbare today, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan
Province Charles Tavengwa said the Government was with them during their times of agony.
“We have heard your concerns. Even when there is a funeral people don’t vacate the place even if there is a curse which means
they will be sought to break it.
“We are also engaging council on the US$10 that people were paying so that it is withheld until a time when you have recovered
while sprucing up the place,” he said.
