Musician Noluntu J has secured a venue for her highly anticipated solo show, #FillUPTheSittingRoom, set to take place at the Bulawayo Theatre on December 18.
The announcement comes after Noluntu J found herself trending last week following a public dispute with organisers and management at Nexus Rooftop, where she had performed. The disagreement, which drew widespread attention on social media, highlighted concerns over the treatment of performing artistes at local venues.
Determined to create her own platform, Noluntu J took matters into her own hands and secured the Bulawayo Theatre for her event. She will share the stage with fellow musician Bhila, with three additional acts yet to be announced, promising a diverse and engaging lineup for attendees.
Ticket prices for the show have been set at US$5 for general entry and US$10 for VIP, making the event accessible to a wide audience while also offering a premium experience for fans who want closer interaction with the performers.
Speaking about the event, Noluntu J said the decision to host her own show was inspired by the desire to take control of her performances and ensure fans get a memorable experience.
The #FillUPTheSittingRoom show marks a significant step in her career as she cements her presence in the Bulawayo music scene while advocating for better treatment and recognition of artistes.
