NORTON Town Council has acquired an excavator, which is expected to enhance service delivery.

This follows a tender for service vehicles, including the mayoral vehicles, which was awarded to a supplier last month following a review by the Special Oversight Committee (SPOC).

The advertisements for tenders were floated last year.

Norton town council spokesperson Mr Leeroy Kaponda said the excavator will significantly improve the council’s efficiency in road maintenance, drainage and other essential services.
