Norton Town Council offers Zifa use of Ngoni Stadium for free for Under 17 CAF Girls Integrated Football Tournament

NORTON Town Council has authorised the use of Ngoni Stadium by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) for the Under 17 CAF Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) for free.

Zimbabwe is expected to host Under 17 girls CAF Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) from December 8 to 18, 2025.

According to a letter from the director of housing and community services to the town secretary, Mr Kizito Muhomba, dated October 21 2025, this is on condition that the public will be admitted into the stadium to watch the matches for free.

The director of housing’s letter was in response to a letter that was written to the council by ZIFA general secretary Yvonne Mapika Manwa dated October 16 2025, requesting the use of Ngoni stadium for free.

The letter indicated that eight clubs from eight countries will compete in the second edition of the prestigious trophy.

“The Zimbabwe Football Association is pleased to inform you that Zimbabwe will be hosting the U17 girls CAF Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT)from the 8th to the 18th of December 2025,” read the letter..

“Eight clubs from eight different countries will compete for the 2nd edition of this prestigious trophy.

“Against this background, the association is kindly requesting the use of Ngoni stadium for the duration of the tournament for free. The U17 CAF GIFT matches will be free.”
