NRL get major boost

THE National Rugby League and its supporting structures got a huge boost from the league title sponsors Lion Lager after receiving kit and equipment worth over US$20 000 at a presentation ceremony at Old Hararians Sports Club yesterday.Delta Beverages, through their Lion Lager brand, are the official sponsors of the National Rugby League which features the top eight clubs spread across the country.

They have been sponsoring the league for the past three years.
They handed over an assortment of equipment comprising of rugby balls, ruck shields, bags, medical kits, training cones, speed ladders and rugby kits.

Delta Beverages marketing manager, Patricia Murambinda, said they will continue to sponsor the sport because they were happy that equipment has been put into good use in the past few years.
“This is what sponsors really look for and it encourages us to support a lot of activities when we see the money going to good use,” said Murambinda.
NRL president, Noddy Kanyangarara, hailed the sponsors’ commitment to help his league.
