A THREE-DAY National Social Security Authority (NSSA) Engineers Workshop has opened in Masvingo where experts and professionals from various sectors are gathered to share insights on the latest advancements in occupational safety.

This year’s workshop will also tackle issues pertaining to health regulations, technology integration, workplace innovations and impact of emerging technologies on employee wellbeing.
It is being held under the theme: “Occupational Safety, Health Technology and the Future of Work.”
Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Edgar Moyo officially opened the workshop with the Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ezra Chadzamira, delivering welcome remarks.
In his address Minister Moyo urged Zimbabweans to embrace artificial intelligence and other latest technologies in workspaces to reduce injuries and deaths at workplaces.
Occupational safety experts from both the private and public sectors are presenting on a number of topics.
Masvingo Town Clerk Engineer Edward Mukaratirwa spoke on confined workspace operations and best practices for managing safety and health risks.
