Nun slaps ‘careless’ driver

The incident, which was witnessed by this reporter, occurred at the corner of 9th Avenue and Samuel Parirenyatwa Street on Wednesday at about 6pm.

The nun, who identified herself as Sister Ruth Chihota, was driving a Toyota Hilux twin cab along Samuel Parirenyatwa Street when a man driving a Toyota Corolla almost bumped into her car.

The man, who only identified himself as Mr Mhere, then stopped his car and walked over to Sister Chihota who was already fuming.
Before Mr Mhere could apologise, the nun got out of her car and slapped him on the left cheek after which she demanded his identity card.

“We do not want people like you on our roads and that correctional slap I gave you is nothing compared to the pain your family would have suffered had you killed us both,” said the nun.

Mr Mhere just stood quietly while some members of the public intervened and quelled the situation.
