Nurse granted protection order against abusive hubby

A NURSE has applied for a protection order against her abusive husband who verbally and physically abuses her in front of their children, while also demanding money for beer.
Fadzai Mugiyo, of Nkulumane 10 in Bulawayo, working as a nurse at the United Bulawayo Hospitals, filed for a protection order against Cleophas Mugiyo at the Western Commonage magistrates court on Wednesday.

“Whenever I refuse to give him the money, he becomes violent and starts assaulting me and verbally abusing me using vulgar language in front of our children,” she said.

Magistrate Temba Chimiso granted Dube an interim protection order.
Dube will get an opportunity to defend himself on January 23.
