ZIFA Southern Region Division One outfit, National University of Science and Technology (Nust) will be seeking redemption when they clash with Mpumalanga in a league match set for the tertiary institution grounds this afternoon.
The students are coming from a 2-0 defeat they suffered to Black Boots in their last encounter played on Friday.
Mpumalanga and Nust were supposed to clash during week two of the marathon programme but the students were involved in university games which forced the match to be pushed forward.

Nust are still in search of a win since they joined the league. They opened their account with a draw against Tsholotsho Pirates.
Meanwhile, seasoned campaigners Tsholotsho dismissed newcomers Trumus 2-0 in a league game played on Independence Day at Tsholotsho Business Centre.

The Lizwe Sweswe-coached outfit are among the favourites to challenge for the title this season after intense pre-season preparations. Goals from Ocean Ncube and Mlamuli Phakathi were enough to hand Trumus their first defeat in three games.

Tsholotsho Pirates secretary Melody Ndlovu praised her team’s effort after they collected maximum points against the Victoria Falls-based outfit.
“We played well and managed to win but the game was a bit tricky. We had to maintain our standard of play.  I am happy the boys did well,” said Ndlovu.

Trumus secretary Allen Tawanda Guzha felt his side was given a raw deal by the officials .
“The boys played well but the referee made some calls that didn’t favour us. They were given a penalty while our appeal was turned down.

“We are still coming to terms with the defeat but it gives us a chance to go back to the drawing board and prepare for the next match,” he said.
Zimbabwe Saints lost 0-1 to Plumtree Chiefs while Ntabazinduna Prison played to a nil-all draw against ZPC Hwange.

Results:
ZPC Hwange 0-0 Ntabazinduna, Technosphere 1-0 Elephant FC, New West 2-0 Kabwe Warriors, Plumtree Chiefs 1-0 Zimbabwe Saints, Tsholotsho 2-0 Trumus, Black Boots 2-0 Nust.
