adminat Lewonde Estate in Goromonzi today. According to Zanu-PF provincial spokesperson Cde Gordon Mujawe, Cde Nyakuba joined the liberation struggle in 1975 as a war collaborator in Takawira Sector, Bangauya area in Chindoko village.
The Takawira Sector covered Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe and Mutoko Districts.
He exhibited excellent qualities of bravery and intelligence, while demonstrating unwavering support for the revolution. Cde Nyakuba operated with the likes of Cdes Tafirenyika Simbidzinodyana, Gudo, Jezenga, Mukonowemagadifosi, Bere, Chipanicheusiku and Mambohovhiyo among others.
After independence, Cde Nyakuba pursued his education but remained an active member of the youth league.
In 1993, he was elected cell youth chairperson of Goba branch in Bangauya district.
Cde Nyakuba continued to rise through the ranks in the party structures becoming the party’s deputy provincial political commissar, a position he held at the time of his death.
