Nyamandlovu Family on Brink of Violent Inheritance Dispute

Sunday News Reporter

The Nyamandlovu community is on edge as a bitter inheritance feud threatens to escalate into violence between Culolenkosi Moyo and his uncle, Nkululeko Dube, over the estate of the late Nkanyiso Dube, Nkululeko’s brother.

According to a close family member, Nkanyiso’s will clearly bequeathed all his property and livestock to Culolenkosi Moyo.

“Nkanyiso made it clear in his will that everything was to go to Culolenkosi,” the relative revealed. However, this decision has deeply unsettled Nkululeko, a senior Zanu-PF member in the district, who is reportedly using his political influence to intimidate Moyo.

“We have heard that Nkululeko has threatened Culolenkosi with unspecified actions to force him to relinquish the property,” the family member added. Efforts to seek protection from law enforcement have been unsuccessful, with police reportedly dismissing the matter as a private family dispute.

The situation has deteriorated to the point where Culolenkosi Moyo has gone into hiding after threats intensified. In a frightening incident, his home was reportedly targeted in a suspected arson attack, narrowly avoiding a potential tragedy.

Family members are now appealing for intervention and protection as tensions continue to rise. “We don’t know what to do anymore. The threats are real, and Culolenkosi’s safety is at risk,” said the relative.

Authorities have yet to comment on the ongoing dispute, while the Nyamandlovu community watches anxiously, hoping for a peaceful resolution before violence erupts.
