Nyamupinga memorial date set

The memorial service for career diplomat Mr Felix Nyamupinga, who died in South Africa in October, will be held in Harare on December 13. Mr Nyamupinga died of heart attack and was buried at Glen Forest Memorial Park.

He was husband to Goromonzi East National Assembly Member, Cde Beatrice Nyamupinga.

Cde Nyamupinga on Monday said the memorial service will be held at Number 57 Harare Drive, Greystone Park at 10am.

“The Nyamupinga family would also like to express their deepest appreciation to all those who offered their prayers, support, sympathy and kindness during the bereavement and burial of our beloved, the late Felix Nyamupinga,” she said.

The Nyamupinga family thanked St Gerald’s Parish, Makumbe Parish, Goromonzi zanu-pf leadership, cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, Members of Parliament, Zimbabwe Republic Police, Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services, friends and relatives for support during the bereavement.

Mr Nyamupinga was a distinct diplomat who selflessly defended his country when it was under siege from Western countries, especially in the last decade. He served as a diplomat in Nigeria (1982-1984), India (1984-1987), Sweden (1989-93) and Australia (2005-2012).
