NYANGA Rural District Council recently acquired a tipper truck and a front and loader in a bid to speed up the servicing of residential stands as well as improve service delivery. This will result in the speedy servicing of close to 800 residential stands in Nyangani Park Extension and another 800 in the Messenger’s Camp.
NRDC Chief executive officer, Mr Zefania Jaravaza, said having the stands serviced was one of their top priorities.
He said water pipes covering 25km worth $238 000 were already in place for the Nyangani Park Extension Project.
“The Ministry of Local Government is even encouraging councils to give people serviced stands and with the new plant equipment the stands will be completed soon,” he said.
The tipper truck and front and loader were purchased at $89 900 and $95 000 respectively.
