Nyaradzo Group’s 23rd anniversary celebrations held in Chishawasha on Saturday attracted over 800 attendees, including exhibitors and members of the local community, who participated in the Nyaradzo@23 Run and Concert.

The event featured a range of activities, including live music performances and delectable cuisine.

The major highlight of the event was the remarkable achievements of several participants, who broke records and were rewarded with cash prizes and exciting goodies upon completing the challenging 23km and 10km marathons.

In an interview with The Sunday Mail, Nyaradzo Group chief executive officer Mr Philip Mataranyika said the impressive number of exhibitors and the keen participation in the run was a clear indication of the event’s success.

“The event showcased Nyaradzo Group’s commitment to fostering strong connections with our stakeholders and celebrating our collective achievements.

“We had a significant number of people participating in the 23 km run. This is the third consecutive year that we have organised a run to commemorate our anniversary, and we had over 800 participants,” he said.

He said the event marked a shift from previous celebrations held in Nyazura, Manicaland, to Harare, as the group looks to involve a larger number of participants and engage the community more extensively.

“The celebration not only served as a momentous occasion to commemorate 23 years of dedicated service, but also provided an opportunity for the company to express gratitude to the community for their unwavering support over the years.

The event’s entertainment lineup featured captivating musical performances by esteemed artists such as ZimPraise, Selmor Mutukudzi, Enzo Ishall, and Baba Harare.

Their performances left the crowd entertained, and added an extra dose of excitement to the festivities.
