ZIMBABWE international, Marshall Nyasha Munetsi, yesterday tied the knot with his long-time sweetheart Nyasha Makove at Umwinzii Gardens.
Marshall jetted into the country for the wedding, four days ago, from France where he plays for Stade Reims as a midfielder.
Nyasha and Nyasha limited the number of guests with tight security in place at the venue.
However, H-Metro spy lenses managed to get a glimpse of the proceedings.
Among the guests was Marshall’s French agent Fredd Ryssen, who arrived on Saturday, to witness the wedding.
He praised Nyasha and Nyasha for their union and vowed to return to enjoy the Zimbabwean sunshine.
“I have been with Marshall for four years from the time he arrived in France,” said Fredd.
“I thought he was of a special character but I came to know that he is Zimbabwean and I have come to witness the culture.
“I enjoyed the Zimbabwean environment only that I have to quickly return for my professional assignments.
“I will definitely return to have a better feel of Zimbabwean sunshine with beautiful landscape,” he said.
Warriors manager, Wellington Mupandare, hailed Marshall for his character.
“I have been monitoring Marshall for some time and today he has proved his best on and off the field of play,” said Mupandare.
“He married Nyasha, who is not a football fan, but one who loves Marshall.
“Some of our footballers are used to marrying female soccer fans who could have dated some other players, making their marriages tricky.
“Marshall has not been a footballer who chases women but he is a man of good character.
“I would like to urge other local footballers to learn from Marshall in order to reach greater heights and for the sake of their marriages,” he said.
Mupandare described Marshall’s wedding as historic since it coincides with the official match opening of the World Cup in Qatar.
Relatives and friends delayed the wedding programme at the reception demanding for ‘selfie’ moments with Marshall and Nyasha.
Nyasha is based in Germany.
