A WAVE of music, glamour, empowerment, and sisterhood is set to sweep across the Eastern Highlands this Sunday as Vumba Gateway Gardens hosts the highly anticipated Ladies Summer Splash — a vibrant carnival that promises to be as unforgettable as the scenic backdrop against which it will unfold.
With a star-studded line up headlined by the charming Nyasha David and Caff, the event has already captured the imagination of hundreds of women from Mutare and beyond, expected to throng the picturesque venue on September 28.
Nyasha David, who will be performing in Mutare for the first time this year, said he “cannot wait” for a date with his legion of fans in the Eastern Highlands.
Known for his crowd-pulling charisma and sing-alongs like Nokusingaperi, Tatata,
Kachest Kelove and Areka, the silky-voiced artiste is gearing up to deliver one of the most meaningful shows of his career.
“I am honoured to be part of a platform that celebrates women and their beauty, strength and resilience. This show is, not just about music, but connecting with my fans, especially the queens who have supported my journey from day one.

They should expect a magical performance full of new sounds, and moments everyone would cherish and want to capture on camera. I will also be premièring a few exclusive tracks I have been working on quietly in the studio. Let us sing, dance, and bloom together. Ladies, Vumba is yours this weekend. It is going to be magical,” he said.
Caff, real name Lionel Matanda, said the event feels like a homecoming gig after a tour of South Africa.
“It is always a special feeling performing back home, and to do so in such a breathtaking location for such a powerful event is something I have looked forward to. This is, not just another show, but a celebration of womanhood. We are coming with fire because my band is ready, and the play list includes Pakata, Perfect to Me, Manager, and some intimate love ballads that I will be releasing before year-end.
“I will bring a performance crafted just for my fans which will be raw, emotional mand high energy,” he said.
Running under the uplifting theme: “Bloom, Bond and Boogie,” the Ladies Summer Splash goes beyond entertainment.
Co-hosted by The Manica Post and Diamond FM, the event fuses fun with empowerment, featuring motivational talks, health and financial literacy sessions, mental wellness coaching, and creative workshops in poetry, fashion and dance.
Adding sparkle to the day will be famed beautician, Nyasha Marava (Eastern Diva) and an all-star cast of Diamond FM’s female presenters — Taita Tindo, Cherry Blossom, among others, serving as MCees.
A sizzling DJ line-up featuring DJ Marvel, Terrible Twins, Lampy, and Kritic Igwe promises to keep the energy high from noon until sunset.

With transport available from 11am, and festivities kicking off at 12-noon, attendees are encouraged to wear colourful floral outfits, symbolising growth, beauty and blooming into one’s best self.
The event also includes lifestyle experiences such as braai zones, sip-and-paint corners, cocktail tastings, and curated market spaces for local entrepreneurs.
One of the event organisers, Eunice Sibanda said she was excited, and it was all systems go.
“Everything is in place, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone. The interest has been overwhelming — tickets are selling fast, and the lineup is packed with talent and inspiration. We are proud to partner with incredible brands like Willowton Group, Agriput Solar, Kitchen Link, Chicken Slice, and Chiedza Community Trust to make this a truly unforgettable celebration.
“Advance tickets are available for US$5, while those purchasing at the gate will pay US$10. Transport from Mutare will be available starting from 11 am, ensuring that attendees arrive comfortably at the stunning Vumba Gateway Gardens, where the event will kick off promptly at 12-noon,” she said.
