a breakthrough into the cut-throat gospel music industry from their two previous efforts, Nyasha DzaJehovha look like they have struck the right chord this time as their latest offering has become literally a national anthem on most radio stations.
Talking to Joshua Hamadziripi, the man who formed the band three years back, one is imbued with the idea that the band will leave a mark in the gospel music industry.
“This album (Muranda Wenyu) is about the kingdom of God. This album has been received well beyond even our expectations because on the two previous ones, we rushed to the studios without polishing our acts but on this one, listeners should fasten their seat belts,” he said.
The album consists of tracks of several tracks among them, “Akamuramba Jesu”, “Baba Makatida”, “Chaedza”, “Mwana Muparadzi Mweyaiko Baba” and “Gogodza”.
Hamadziripi, however, expressed dismay at how Metro Studio was marketing his album.
He said the recording company was starving his listeners of his latest offering.
“I am disappointed by the way Metro Studios are selling my album to the public. I should have realised a lot of money from this project but the officials at the company say they want to rectify the issue of piracy but people will end up buying pirated copies because of this unavailability,” said Hamadziripi.
